Go'in APE

Happy Friday and welcome to inaugural edition of Energy Drinks and Vodka! The star of our pre-game cocktails tonight is GO APE energy drink. 

The Drink:

This bad boy comes in a 16oz can packing 37 grams of sugar 1600 milligrams of Taurine and 1200 milligrams of GO APE'S patented energy blend (Glucuronolactone, Caffine and Inositol...yawn) in each 8oz serving.  Our tasters get notes of grape nerds and cotton candy.  The primate intimidates all of us. 

The Booze:

Smirnoff No. 21 is the worlds No 1. vodka its classic taste has inspired other tasted throughout all four corners of the globe... So says their website.  We say "It'll do"

The Blend:

We made our blend according to our secret recipe. The first thing that came to mind was a kayaking trip we took this summer down the Charles River ( Really, check that link out).  The bright yellow haze surrounding the ice in a sea of murky brown reminded me of each paddle stroke I took that day.  The drink is VERY sweet and the GO APE definitely does its job drowning out the shitty russian vodka #sochi.  Definitely drinkable, but not the tastiest blend.  We'll tell you in the aftermath how much we "loved that dirty water".
